Country Queen Anne side chair

We believe this chair to be a product of the John Durand workshop in Milford, Connecticut, around 1770. Dramatically shaped splat and crest rail, woven rush seat, turned front posts and stretchers. Old, though not original, brown paint. Height added by applied carpet circles.
