Walnut Charles II one-drawer table

A superb early 17th century side table. Its most striking features are its boldly turned posts and stretchers, which are embellished with an elaborate series of rings, spools, and balls. Each leg terminates in its original, attractive turned foot. The single side-hung drawer is faced with applied mouldings suggesting a pair of smaller drawers. Walnut with oak secondary. Drawer pulls are restored, and the top appears to be an old replacement.
