A handsome antique rosewood armchair with carved splat

Recently purchased locally, this stately chair has shaped back, arms and arm suppurts and a pierced center splat which frames a detailed colored carving of two individuals. The chair stands on a braced box stretcher with four decorative, shaped feet. It is finished with a red pigment, while the carved sections are polychromed.
