For many years the fluorescent billboard pictured above has been a landmark on Route 1 in Portsmouth New Hampshire. Sadly, the Yoken's Restaurant logo "Thar she blows" has recently taken on new meaning, as the building is being bulldozed to make room for a supermarket. This change is especially sad for those of us who have exhibited at Paul Davis' Yoken's Antiques Market. Because this fast-paced market has always featured a number of very active dealers, it has been a great opportunity to sell to serious shoppers and buy from many dealers in the show.

We were, therefore, very relieved to receive a contract from Paul for this season -- in a new venue and with a new name, but of similar size and format. The new venue is only a few miles south of Yoken's on Route 1. Like the Yoken's market, the Hampton Falls Antiques Show will open at 10:00 and close at 3:00. While we'll be unable to participate in the show's October debut, we'll be there for the second one on November 21st, and can hardly wait.
