Country Cape Antiques Shows' New London Show

As evening approached, thanks to Karyn and Dave, we enjoyed a delicious meal, prepared by S-Car-Go, the local restaurant and caterers who would provide food for patrons during the show. By the time we left for the day, most of the dealers were set up and ready to find out what the weekend might hold for us.

The show opened at 10:00 on Saturday morning with about fifty buyers waiting in line. During the first hour we had two significant sales -- enough to offset any fear of a financial debacle. As the day went on, a few smaller sales boosted our earnings somewhat.

By closing time on Sunday, nearly five hundred shoppers had visited the show -- a respectable number for any first-time show. Congratulations to Dave and Karyn for taking the chance and inaugurating a fine show with great promise for the future.

We assume that this will be but the first of many New London shows. Next year's date will be on our website as soon as it is announced. For information on Country Cape Antiques Shows, visit their website.
