New boy in town

Toby
The passing of our beloved Toby in January was marked only by the addition of a memorial border and life dates to his photograph on our Views of our Shop page. He was a wonderful friend and loving housemate, and we mourned his loss silently. To our astonishment, many newsletter readers noticed this subtle tribute, and many responded with kind words of condolence.
Since our home was on the market and we anticipated living in temporary quarters while our new residence was being built, we decided that it would be unfair to introduce a new pet into such an uncertain environment, so we tabled the idea of finding another.
When we decided to stay in Conway, one of the first things we did was to begin to look for a feline successor. Since his presence was so strong, any newcomer would need to be very different from Toby in both appearance and personality. After many hours on line, Jan found the perfect pet -- a blue-eyed, lynx-point, snow leopard Bengal whom we adopted from a shelter in Windsor, Connecticut. He's only nine months old and has been with us for almost a month. His name is Pippin, and he -- unlike his older cousin -- will be an indoor pet.
