The Tale of the Hutch Table

Our regular readers will recognize this picture from last month's 'Back Page'.

Ellen and Walter's new hutch table -- at least they thought it would be theirs!

A cute picture, and a happy ending for all concerned. But . . . .

Shortly after Ellen and Walter sent us the picture above, we opened our newly-arrived copy of Antiques and the Arts Weekly to find, in the full-page ad for next month's ADA show, a picture of a hutch table astonishingly similar to that which we'd sold to them.

Naturally, we sent them a scan of the ad.

Within a few hours, we received an e-mail from Ellen, saying, "Looks for all the world like our table, but where's the cat?!"

Now, we ask you, how could we -- armed with photo editing software -- not reply with this image?
