Hildene Antiques Show

Held in Hildene Meadows in Manchester, VT, on the grounds of the former home of Abraham Lincoln's descendents, this enjoyable show alternates annually with the Dorset, VT show. As we go to press, there is no published dealer list, but we've always found things to buy at Hildene. We'll be bringing American country furniture, which is usually in abundance at the show, and you'll see great smalls as well.

This just received from the Vermont Department of Taxes:

July 12 & 13, 2008: Sales Tax Holiday - Items costing $2,000 or less purchased for personal use are exempt from Vermont sales tax and local option sales tax.

Just like New Hampshire!

General admission (10:00 - 4:00) is $5.00. Early admission ($15.00 per person) gets you onto the field during dealer setup at 8:00. In our judgment, the added expense of early buying at this show makes sense for only the most aggressive buyers. Come at the more civilized hour of 10:00 and save your money for stuff.

Print the card below as a reminder. Perhaps we'll see you there.
