The Boston Antiques and Design Show and Sale
Once again we began the year at Marvin Getman's Boston Antiques and Design Show and Sale, a large, eclectic show held in Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington, MA. Because of the diversity of its dealers and Marvin's aggressive promotion, the show is attended by thousands of enthusiastic shoppers. This year, severe winter weather kept many Saturday shoppers at home, and many dealers felt the impact of a greatly reduced group of buyers. Through a combination of email and aggressive shopping on the show floor, we had a very successful weekend, although not by conventional means. We'll write about this show in our February Newsletter.

A few pictures of our booth taken before the opening of this year's Boston show

Our booth featured seventeenth-century furniture, paintings, and smalls.

The sparseness of our booth probably kept some shoppers away, but many found something here to add to their collections.

This outstanding 19th century brass chandelier sold to a dealer on the floor.

A few pieces in our booth were accompanied by QR codes, an experiment with interesting results.
