Pair of bronze goblets

We've had a number of these "traveler's goblets," but never a pair with such great color. It is believed that they were used by clergy and that their portability allowed them to be taken to home-bound parishioners. At first glance they look like ordinary goblets with baluster stems, but unlike their glass counterparts, the base and the bowl of these unscrew.

Then, for ease of transport, the base is inserted into the bowl, and the two parts are screwed together again.

Bronze (or brass), late 18th century, probably English. Height: 3½".
