Six-arm brass chandelier

The narrow, nearly rectilinear form of this chandelier suggests Dutch examples from the seventeenth century, though this piece was made nearly two centuries later. Its six arms are attached to the central stem by tenons, held in place by brass pins. While it came to us electrified, the wiring has been accomplished with minimal visual or physical intrusion. Height, excluding chain: 18"; diameter: 18.5".
