Chinese "necessaries" kit in shagreen case

An eighteenth century Asian traveling kit of ivory and brass implements in a shagreen cutlery case.

The set includes (from left to right)
One of a pair of chopsticks. Note that it was made in two parts, which connect with hand-cut brass screws.
A brass spoon with ivory handle.
A steel knife with ivory handle.
A steel tweezers and pick.
An ivory toothpick.
An extremely delicate ivory-handled brass fork with two overlapping brass rings added for strength.
The second chopstick, assembled.
All pieces are in excellent condition. Only the ribbon intended to keep case and lid from becoming separated has broken.
