An early 17th-century brass capstan candlestick

A classic bell-base candle holder with a broad, heavy base, a flat drip pan to capture molten wax, and two rectangular ejector holes for removing candle stubs.

In good condition with some distress around the socket top and some staining underneath.

Diameter of base: 4 ¼”; Height: 4 ¼” (Nicely symmetrical.)
