A cast bronze cooking utensil with three short legs, meant to sit in the ashes of a hearth for cooking or warming food. The signature on the handle indicates that it was made by Thomas Palmar, who was active in Canterbury, Kent between 1641 and 1670. The pot has a sprue on its underbelly, evidence of the casting process.
