A gorgeous ring created in gold with deep square faceted blue paste, most likely over a silver foil. The stone has been closed-back set in gold rounded belly, or verso, typical of Georgian pieces, and joined to a gold shank bifurcated at the shoulders where it joins the central mounting. The mount measures 11mm x11mm wide. The ring is English, Georgian period, currently a size 6 ½-7, and truly stunning!
