This gorgeous Georgian high-karat gold brooch has the form of a nine-petaled flower/starburst design, closed-back set with 9 glowing faceted citrines around a large central oval  citrine (15 x 21mm) stone in round and teardrop shapes. The measurements of this beautiful brooch are 1 ¼” across, and 1 ⅜” from the top to the bottom of the brooch. These citrine stones are perfectly lovely. There is an old dent at the rear of the large citrine teardrop pendant (11x13mm) though it does not show from the front. This English or Iberian brooch could also be suspended as a pendant by placing the links of a gold chain onto the pin-stem at the verso and following each link with an earring back to keep the chain at the edges. However, it may easily be worn on a silk cord or ribbon tied at the back. Stunning!
