Very glorious gold pendant earrings from the early 19th century, measuring 4 ¼” overall. Although quite long, these earrings are comfortable to wear because they were cut out of very thin and lightly textured gold sheets. Plaques of different shapes and sizes were connected by lateral and swag chains alternating with jet beads and two-dimensional gold acorn drops. Some are set with rose-cut jet pieces. Their linearity is well-suited to the low necklines of the period. We have never seen another pair. Amazing…
