#A paint-decorated tin tea caddy fragment

In its day, a smashing example of American toleware, with vivid yellow and red paint decoration. Its lid is now missing; only the painted hinge remains, as do its original paw feet.

A clipping from MAD reporting on a Nordblom 1982 sale, in which he sold a similar piece, is included.
