The Tudor House

This model of a Tudor house remains one of the most charming pieces we've ever bought.

We found it at Brimfield many years ago and transplanted it to our mowing for this photograph.

It is a true whimsy, and the depth of its details reveal a builder with keen sympathy for an earlier time.

Mounted on a wooden platform about three feet square, the model was perfectly proportioned and artfully colored.

After enjoying the house for a time, we sold it to dealers who exhibit all over the US.

We remember it fondly and assume that it has found a home in someone's collection.
