Dear Mr. and Mrs. Antiques:

It has come to the attention of this board that your retail business does not provide facilities for the relief of public distress. Chapter 47 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth states:

Each place of business within the Commonwealth in which goods are offered for purchase or ogling must be equipped with facilities for the discharge of the following:

1.      Number 1

2.      Number 2

Specifically, the law requires you to provide the proverbial pot (or approved equivalent) to customers without regard to race, religion, gender, or gastric origin.

You are hereby notified that you must provide, within 30 days of receipt of this notice, appropriate facilities on your premises. A member of the Board will call by August 20 to arrange for an inspection. We expect that by that date you will have your bowls in a row.

Sincerely yours,

C. Harvey Tinkle

Inspector of Public Facilities
